This item came well-packaged and is made of hefty materials- I think the box was close to 50 lbs. While it isn't the quality you would expect at a high-end furniture store, it's a sturdy bed that's just great. Given that it's for our young daughter, it won't be long and she'll outgrow it and we'll move on. Given the life-cycle of the item, I'm sure it would last over the duration of many kids 2-5 yr stage before giving any trouble. The assembly took me about 45 mins, easy-to-read instructions and well-marked pieces.I like the fact that it just uses a crib mattress (pulled the one from her crib, no need to buy a mattress!) and is low to the floor (plus it has small sideboards) that would minimize any harm from falling out of bed.I think it's a well-designed, good-looking bed at a very affordable price- I'd recommend it to anyone! This is the second time we bought one in 10 years. We had the first one for 5 years and sold it. We bout another one very recently. The first one lasted through multiple children. We were able to sell it since it looked almost new.We received it last week. The box had dents in it, so I was skeptical already. We opened it and a couple of pieces were chipped. I contacted customer service, will see what happens...The instructions are clear. My concern is that the bed is "2" parts: the length is done by 2 pieces, the sides to prevent a fall and a railing for the ret of the length. They are connected by a piece of metal with 4 screws ( each side) . First, the predrilled holes were not right, so we had to re do them. Second, that means that if we decide to disassemble the bed and then assemble it again ( move, baby # 2), I am not too confident about its sturdiness.I should have stuck with the Davinci Sleigh: it was cheaper, no shipping, and dealing with Amazon for problems is much better. Also, the Davinci looks like the railings are 1 piece, not 2 like this one. However, our little girl was happy with it, she jumped on it immediately " my bed, my big girl bed", so I guess that is good. For the sticker comments, once the mattress is on the bed, they cannot be seen. But I still regret not getting the other one. This bed arrived in perfect condition and took my 14 year old son about 40 minutes to assemble. I only helped by holding some pieces up while he screwed them together, pretty easy project. We didn't have any "sticker" issues that I read on some of the other reviews. Overall, very pleased. It's the perfect size for our toddler, not too small, and not so big that it's overwhelming. He loves being able to have a big boy bed that he can get in and out of easily, loves to grab a book and sit on it even during the day. We purchased the matching toybox that we use at the foot of the bed, very cute, and we were also pleased with that. Overall, sturdy and stylish for a very reasonable price. This toddler bed is absolutely adoable- looks so cute in the room. However...(1) there is a sticker on the headboard that is impossible to get off- I read a review about it and thought it was a silly rant- however it took me a good half hour to get it completely off(2) if you have an active sleeper- one that tends to tumble around the crib- the transition to this bed could be difficult- or little one is three weeks into the bed -and we have it against one wall and cushions on the other side and is still falling out at least once a night. We purchased this toddler bed after my 22-month old daughter almost fell head first out of her crib. This is a really cute little bed, didn't take my husband too long to put it together, and the best part is that her crib mattress fits perfectly in it, so we didn't have to buy a new mattress. It is very sturdy-- my daughter jumps on it, and my mother-in-law actually climbed into it with her and it held them both. I know some of the reviews have said that it is annoying that there is a large sticker on the headboard, but once the mattress and pillow are put in, you cannot see the sticker, so it doesn't matter. Good product, I would recommend it.Crib mattress fits great and easy to get on and off for 1.5 year old.Easy to put together, directions were simple, looks nice, and it holds my 160 lb self and my toddler when she refuses to go night night ?BEWARE BUYERS... I was excited to find an attractive bed for a toddler, product arrived very quickly, it was very easy to put together, sad it is pressed board product, I guess I should have read better, but it was the fact that is was attractive to go into my spare room as I am the Nama and he comes here daily, I really don't think this product will pass the test of time. Unless this bed is only used occasionally I myself would not ever buy this again, and honestly to take it apart to return would take longer than it is worth. We purchased this bed for our grand daughter and it was easy to assemble. She did not see us put it together and when she entered her bedroom without a crib; she was surprised, we told her it was her bed and she ran out of her room and back with her favorite doll and sat and laid on it for 45 minutes.Great bed and design mostly. The edges on the foot board and sideboards need to be rounded, even if just slightly. Overall a great bed for the price. My granddaughter loves her new bed and it looks absolutely sweet in her room. It's the perfect size for a two year old to be able to get in and out of bed by herself while still keeping her safe. This is the cutest toddler bed ever. She loves it and it is so feminine. A perfect first little girls bed. At a great price.
